WANTED! DT Call.

Anyone that vaguely knows me will know that I love music & frequently find myself bringing song lyrics into all aspects of life. So when I sat down to write this post, it should be no surprise to find I started humming 'Do you wanna be in my gang' lol!! Obviously those of you under a certain age will be asking 'humming what!?'

So, fancy being part of the Sweet Stampin' team? You might want to know your potential duties first.....

You'll need to make a stamped card to a theme every other week to be uploaded to our 'behind the scenes' blog. You MUST be able to consistently comment on challenge entrants EVERY WEEK & leave comments for your team members too.

So if you think you can do the above, throw a sense of humour in to the mix & you could be just what we are looking for!

Why not give it a go, the term will run for 4 months starting in February. Go on, you know you want to!!! Good morning sweet stampers, before I get on to this weeks challenge, I would like to apologise if you entered our challenge and didn't get a comment from us. Blogger has been playing up this week for most us and I believe not just our team so please bear with us and we will get to you. Good morning sweet stampers on this cold and frosty morning...no I'm not going to start singing Here we go round the mulberry bush but it did come to mind there!!

First of all on behalf of the team here at Sweet Stampin', we would just like to give a huge thanks to all of you who take the time to enter our challenge every week especially at this time of year when it's a bit manic getting organised for Santa. Oh my goodness! What a week! Over 300 entries - a Sweet Stampin' record, surely! And what a fabulous lot of entries they were, too. We had another great response to our challenge last week and once again, the quality of the entries was amazing. It was a challenge theme close to my heart as I love flowers and would have them all over the house if I could. Instead I put masses of them on my cards! Hello Sweet Stampers,

I'm here to kick your bum into entering our DT call! I know there are lots of you out there who maybe look & think 'oh I couldn't do that' & the old classic 'my cards aren't good enough!' Well humph is what I say to that! We've all been there & are always so shocked when others see the beauty in our cards....but as someone who sees your cards on a regular basis ladies (& men) let me tell you that your cards are awesome.

So now we've settled that, do you have the time? Well as we all know that's a whole other issue! Here's a few tips from me to maximise your time opportunities:

Familiarise your children (& pets!) with the numbers of the local fast food delivery services, this cuts down on time spent in the kitchen.

Neatly fold your washing & allow it to pile up. Eventually the weight of it will 'press' the clothes at the bottom of the pile & you can just pull out & wear. Genius!

Don't worry about the dust, trust me when I tell you it doesn't get any worse after the first 3 years lol!

Right so now I've got rid of your time problems too.

The big question remains: can you work with the most fabulous bunch of girlies (and me)? We promise not to bite, we will help you out when the necessity arises & we won't make you write tutorials or do your own challenge blog posts, you obviously need to do your own blog post (I'm good but not that good!). Just get your cards in on time every other week (a list of challenges is given in advance) & make some sweet comments to our entries. That's it. In return you will receive free images from sponsors on occasions, have fun & make new friends

Good morning sweet stampers and welcome to another challenge here at Sweet Stampin'. Gosh how the time flies too!! Well...what can we say, I think we had a record number of entries last week so thank you all for entering but please remember...a maximum of 2 entries per crafter. We're looking for a few new members for our team: Have you ever thought of being on a design team? Can you believe it's September already? For some of you, this week will see the children starting a new school term after the summer holidays. Perhaps we'll have an Indian Summer to make up for the actual summer we didn't have! The tulip and daffodil catalogues are starting to arrive in the post and the big department stores are opening up their Christmas displays. With all the signs of the approaching autumn and winter that are starting to appear, it was lovely to be able to visit you and see some reminders of summer in our colour theme of strawberry, brown and cream.

Well the fact that it's the first Saturday of September can mean only one thing for us Mums in England......Nearly back to school time!! Is it just me who's looking forward to that??? It also means the start of Sketchy September.....Every week through September we're giving you an optional sketch to work with if you wish. Just for a little extra fun!

Good morning Sweet Stampers! I hope you've all had a good week - my son and I had couple of days away in York and had a fantastic time, although I'll be calorie counting for a while as I over-indulged a bit!
A city break is a real treat for us as we live in the middle of nowhere, surrounded mostly by sheep and cows. And just in case I was feeling homesick, I had your lovely "On the Farm" entries to look at!

Entries this week ranged from the cute to the funny so it was quite difficult to pick an overall winner to be in the Spotlight. However, I chose this one because of its sweet image (called "Custard") and gorgeous blue/brown colour combo.

What a difference a week makes, there's been so much going on in my life this week that last Saturday feels like forever ago, you ever had that feeling? I've spent most of the week in a state of extreme excitement though as I've booked to see my first ever full scale live concert!!!

Anyway, on to the matter in hand: This week we want to see all your Cute & Cuddly creations.

Something unusual happening today...

Good Morning Sweet Stampers on this sunny Saturday morning. Before we get on to this week's challenge we would just like to say a huge thanks to everybody for their fantastic entries last week...we had a super duper amount so keep 'em coming!!

Today's challenge chosen by the lovely Jenny is to use something unusual, something that you would not normally use on a card....so get those thinking hats on and get crafting but the normal rules still apply, you must include something stamped and 2 entries per person but you combine your entry with as many others challenges as you like.

The flower is made out of party favor bags, and the little tab of paper with the sentiment stamped on it is actually the back side of a paper plate that I cut with my Nestabilities, then misted it with my Glimmer Mists to make it SPARKLY!!!

This is my card for the something unusual challenge, I've used simple cardboard, I've used dies to cut out a heart & corner (behind the flowers) put them through the ribbler, painted them with crackle paint and edged with distress inks.

Jenny used a dressing from a large supply she has in her First Aid Cupboard. She used one to make a twisted flower.

I have used "Material" as my backing "paper", material bought for another project that did not involve paper crafting..
