Spotlight and Weekly Winner

Good morning Sweet Stampers! Hope you are all having a great weekend and finding time to do a little bit of crafting!

We had another great response to our challenge last week and once again, the quality of the entries was amazing.  It was a challenge theme close to my heart as I love flowers and would have them all over the house if I could.  Instead I put masses of them on my cards!  Your cards this week were so gorgeous and I admit I had a bit of a struggle in deciding which of my top 4 would be in the Spotlight as each one was very different.  However, after visiting each one again (and again, and again!) I finally decided on this card by #82 Rebekah!

Isn't it fabulous - each time I look at it I find something new to admire!  Well done, Rebekah!  If you click on the Badges tab at the top of the page it will take you to the code for our Spotlight Blinkie.

Now for the weekly winner, chosen by Mr Random.  Our sponsor for the Flowers challenge was Stamp Galaxy who are giving the lucky winner 3 of their Toodles stamps and a ribbon assortment.  Who will it be..?

Unfortunately Mr Random is having a strop and won't let me copy the Random Generator result box, but before he had a hissy fit he chose #76 Mary D. Congratulations Mary! Just email Abi and Fi using the link in the sidebar and they'll let you know how to claim your stamping goodies!

Now this week's challenge is an easy-peasy one - Anything Goes! We have a brilliant sketch for you to follow, courtesy of our fabulous Sweetie, the lovely Vicky.  The sketch is optional and it won't affect your chances of winning if you don't use it, but it's such a beauty I'm sure you'll want to use it and not just once!

We have some great prizes on offer - Quixotic Paperie are our weekly sponsors and we have our monthly sponsor, the fabby Heather Ellis, for one randomly chosen winner from all our entries in September.

Will we get the heatwave they're forecasting next week?  It would be rather nice, wouldn't it, although for the Sweeties in Scotland (me, Alison and Fi) I'm not holding out too much hope!  Wherever you are, have a wonderful week and Happy Stamping!

Spotlight and Weekly Winners

I don't know about you, but I was more than ready for the weekend.  Once I'd eventually got the dreaded h****work out of the way (see Abi's tips on cutting this in half!!!) I managed to spend a very pleasant hour sorting out my ribbons and my flowers ... bliss.  More of flowers later, tho'!

On to this week's winners.  Our theme was "Teenage" and once again, Sweet Stampers, the quality of your creations was awesome.  For the Spotlight this week I went for something just a little different - I think this is really classy and stylish.

Well done, #13 Julie! The attention to detail and layout of this card is just amazing.  Please take our blinkie for your blog and display it with pride.

Our randomly chosen prize winner this week will be able to choose 5 digis from the fabulous

Fairy Dust Crafts

Fairy Dust Crafts!  And the lucky winner is ...

#4 Jo!  Congrats Jo! Please contact Abi and Fi using the link in the sidebar and they will let you know how to claim your digis.

I mentioned flowers earlier.  I love 'em, and find it hard to make a card without them.  So our challenge this week is quite simply "Flowers". There is an optional sketch this week created by the (very tanned) loveliness that is Wedgie - you don't have to follow it, but if you haven't already seen it, let me tell you, it's a beauty!  Don't forget that as well as our weekly prize we have a monthly prize kindly donated this time by Heather Ellis.  So lets see those floral designs, Sweet Stampers!

Have a great week everyone!

Flowers, Flowers, Flowers!

Well hello my super sweet Saturday stampers!  I hope this weekend is gonna be a great one for you!  After revealing some of my erm... slightly dubious housekeeping habits to you during the week, I'm trying to redeem myself now!!  So I haven't got time to waffle, let's just get on with the challenge....

This week we know you're gonna love this one....FLOWERS, chosen by the tantalising Tracey!  Yep, it's that simple, we just want to see some flowers on your cards.  September's fabulous sponsor is Heather Ellis & this week's sponsor is a new one to us...Stamp Galaxy who are offering the winner 3 toodles regular stamps, complete with mounting foam & a selection of their delicious range of ribbons.  Head across to the the shop & check them out, I've certainly got my eye on a few things!!

Don't forget it's Sketchy September too so here's this week's OPTIONAL sketch courtesy of our very own Wedgie....

Now on to our inspiration, firstly our Super guest designer Wendy:

DT CALL

Hello Sweet Stampers,

I'm here to kick your bum into entering our DT call!  I know there are lots of you out there who maybe look & think 'oh I couldn't do that'  & the old classic 'my cards aren't good enough!'  Well humph is what I say to that! We've all been there & are always so shocked when others see the beauty in our cards....but as someone who sees your cards on a regular basis ladies (& men) let me tell you that your cards are awesome.

So now we've settled that, do you have the time?  Well as we all know that's a whole other issue!  Here's a few tips from me to maximise your time opportunities:

Familiarise your children (& pets!) with the numbers of the local fast food delivery services, this cuts down on time spent in the kitchen.

Neatly fold your washing & allow it to pile up.  Eventually the weight of it will 'press' the clothes at the bottom of the pile & you can just pull out & wear.  Genius!

Don't worry about the dust, trust me when I tell you it doesn't get any worse after the first 3 years lol!

Right so now I've got rid of your time problems too.

The big question remains:  can you work with the most fabulous bunch of girlies (and me)?  We promise not to bite, we will help you out when the necessity arises & we won't make you write tutorials or do your own challenge blog posts, you obviously need to do your own blog post (I'm good but not that good!).  Just get your cards in on time every other week (a list of challenges is given in advance) & make some sweet comments to our entries.  That's it.  In return you will receive free images from sponsors on occasions, have fun & make new friends

Get your entries in either by entering our challenge & adding DT after your name or drop us an e.mail to the address in the sidebar.  Love to hear from you.

♥ Love from the Sweet Stampin DT ♥

P.S.  I would just like to confirm that no children have been fed junk food, sent to school in creased clothes or choked on excess dust during the writing of this post!!!

Top 5 Spotlight and Weekly Winners - Anything but a Birthday

Wow! I think we may have had a record number of entries for our challenge last week!  I had the pleasure of visiting each and every one in search of our Spotlight winner and try as I might, I could not choose just one.  The standard of entries was simply amazing, so much so in fact that it was difficult getting it down to a Top 5!

So here, in no particular order, is the Sweet Stampin' Top 5 for the Anything but a Birthday Challenge - I bet you can't choose just one favourite either!!

Aren't they all just so beautiful?  Well done, ladies - please take our Blinkie for your lovely blogs.

Next we have our randomly chosen winner who will receive 5 digis of their choice from the fabby Tiffany Doodles .  Mr Random chose ... drumroll please...

#2 Jacqui P!  Congratulations, Jacqui - please contact Abi and Fi via the link in the sidebar to claim your prize - happy shopping!

And finally we have a prize re-draw as the Pollycraft prize from a couple of weeks ago was unclaimed. Mr Random did his thing once again and chose

# 4 Mueppi!  Congratulations! Please contact Abi and Fi and they'll let you know how to choose your 5 digis!

Well, I don't know about you, but I need a lie down in a darkened room after all that! But before I hop off in the direction of the kettle and the biscuit tin, can I just remind you of our fabby new challenge this week. We're looking for your creations on a Teenage theme and there's an optional sketch for you to follow if you wish.  We have 5 digis from Fairydust Crafts on offer to one randomly chosen winner PLUS the gorgeousness that is Heather Ellis is offering a monthly prize of digis - this will be chosen from all our entries this month.

Good morning sweet stampers and welcome to another challenge here at Sweet Stampin'. Gosh how the time flies too!! Well...what can we say, I think we had a record number of entries last week so thank you all for entering but please remember...a maximum of 2 entries per crafter. I think we might need to help Tracey out with those Top 5!!

Before I go on to this week's challenge, just a reminder....

We're looking for a few new members for our team: Have you ever thought of being on a design team? You don't need to have any experience of DT work, but you do need to be able to commit to the next 4 months. Sense of humour an advantage lol! If you're interested please either add DT after your entry or e.mail Fi & Abi directly using the address in the sidebar giving a link to your blog. The DT call will close at midnight (BST) Thursday 22nd September. If you ensure we have an e.mail for you we will contact you to let you know our decision. Good Luck!

Now back to the challenge....This week our challenge chosen by the lovely Carlie is "for a teenager". You can make whatever you like as long as it fits our theme and includes something that has been stamped.

Spotlight and Weekly Winner

Can you believe it's September already?  For some of you, this week will see the children starting a new school term after the summer holidays. Perhaps we'll have an Indian Summer to make up for the actual summer we didn't have! The tulip and daffodil catalogues are starting to arrive in the post and the big department stores are opening up their Christmas displays.  With all the signs of the approaching autumn and winter that are starting to appear, it was lovely to be able to visit you and see some reminders of summer in our colour theme of strawberry, brown and cream.

There were some real stunners this week when it came to picking the Spotlight winner, but this one caught the attention of the Sweeties in a big way.

Well done # 30 Shanna - this is absolutely beautiful!  Please take our Spotlight winner's blinkie for your blog.

Our randomly chosen winner this week will receive 5 digis from the fabulous Pollycraft!

A quick word with Mr Random and a winner was selected!

Congratulations #24 Elaine! Please contact Abi and Fi using the link in the sidebar to claim your digis.

This week's challenge should give you plenty of scope - it's Anything but a Birthday!  And you have the chance to win not just our weekly randomly drawn prize (digis from Tiffany Doodles) but we also have a monthly sponsor in the shape of Heather Ellis who is also giving away some of her fabulous digis.

Hope you all find time this week to be a bit creative!  Happy Stampin'!
