Try something new!

Happy Saturday peeps, did you see the wedding yesterday?  Wasn't it lovely...and as they are off for a new phase in their lives we are bringing you the opportunity to do something new but slightly less life changing lol!

Join our Design Team!

We're looking for several new members to join our friendly team.  You would need to produce 1 stamped piece of work every other week & be able to visit allocated entrants blogs & leave comments every week.  Your term would be for 4 months starting June 1st.  We're looking for all abilities/styles & you can apply either by adding 'DT' after your card entry or simply dropping us an e.mail using the address on the sidebar & provide us with a link to your blog, (please make sure there is a way for us to contact you).  We will close this DT call on Friday 13th May & new members will be contacted soon after for confirmation.

So onto the challenge, this week we gave the theme choice over to you!  Mr random picked the winner as Christi Hicks who was looking to expand our creative minds with a theme of 'Try something New' & gets to be our lovely guest designer this week.  If you'd like the opportunity to choose the theme & guest design with us see here.

We're sponsored this week by the delicious Tiddly Inks (every time I visit Tiddly Inks, images jump in my basket all by themselves lol!!) who are offering a $10 voucher to the store woohoo!

Our monthly sponsor is the equally delicious Bugaboo, who are generously offering 7, yes seven digi images to our monthly prize winner.

Here's our DT inspirations:

Christi Hicks  Thanks for a great theme Christi, we all had a lot of fun with this!  Christi used a tutorial here to create this beautiful frame.

Hazel - trying her new Aquamarkers. This is Hazel's last week with us, thanks Hazel. Your cards have been stunning!

Abi - Trying out the retiform grid technique (details on my blog).

Claire - trying flocking on her stripy background.

Tracey - making a gift bag for the first time ever.

Zoe  - trying paper piecing.

And we've a special treat for you from Fi who got into the spirit of things & attempted some beading this week.  The eagle eyed among you will spot that there is no stamping on this project, you're absolutely right but I thought it was so lovely it deserved to be included anyway.  Don't forget though that to be a spotlighter or prizewinner, you have to stamp on your projects.

We look forward to visiting all your blogs with your fab creations, don't forget to let us know which new technique you've used & if you want to link to a tutorial or have written your own, do share it with us.

Enjoy your bank holiday weekend (again) folks xx

♥ Love from the Sweet Stampin DT ♥
